Safety on HUNTR
Meeting people should feel exciting, not risky. Here's how HUNTR is built to protect you, plus tips for meeting up.
Adults only
Every member enters an exact date of birth at sign-up. HUNTR is strictly for adults 18 and over.
Approximate location only
HUNTR saves an area of about half a mile, never your exact spot, and shows distance in rough bands. Hosted groups are offset from the host's real location.
Block and report
Block anyone in one tap; you'll disappear from each other everywhere in HUNTR. Reports go to the moderation team and the reported member is never told who reported them.
You control what's visible
Every profile field is optional. Sensitive details like kinks and sexual preferences are private unless you choose to show them. Privacy settings let you hide from Discover, the map or activity status.
Tips for meeting up
Chat first, meet somewhere public, tell a friend where you're going, and trust your instincts. Read the full Gay Dating Safety Guide for more.
